I love the fall! Not only is the weather a dream, it is the season for new interior design books to hit shelves. Getting cozy with new books is part of the fall tradition around here, and this one was quite a joy.
Victoria Hagan has been designing dreamy spaces for more than 25-years. Her first book, Interior Portraits was highly acclaimed, cataloging the "new American classic" style that Hagan is known for. Her design work has been featured in all of the top shelter magazines, and she was recently included in Architectural Digest's Top 100. Hagan has been called the "reigning queen of restrained elegance" and her eponymous interior design firm based in New York has created glorious dream homes from the beach, to the mountains, to the countryside. Unique among many design books, all of the homes featured in Dream Spaces are second homes, getaways for their owners to relax, restore, and connect with family, self, and the surrounding landscape. Still, Hagan hits the sweet spot in each space, a real home away from home. Take a look:

While there are 240-pages filled with gorgeous photos, the book is also a wonderful education in design.
